| Consult Protection is a protection coverage that will cover damages to property, theft or accidents to third parties as a result of the service that was rendered by the service provider from Consult. Customers are entitled to Consult Protection only if they tap “Book” before proceeding to complete and pay for the service with the service provider from Consult. For Consult Direct services (where customers do not receive variable quotes), customers are entitled to Consult Protection when a service provider accepts the job and the customer pays for the service with the service provider. What are the eligibility criteria for Consult Protection? Only service types with the Consult Protection badge are covered. You must submit your request for the service through Consult web platform or app. For Compare requests, you must tap “Book” on the quote of the service provider you want to hire. For Direct requests, you are entitled to Consult Protection when a service provider accepts your request. You have made full payment to the service provider after the service is completed. Clauses: Consult is a marketplace application providing a platform to connect customers and service providers for various services. Consult does not perform the underlying services itself and the service providers are not employees of Consult. The service provider may deem it necessary to take counter-actions should they deny any liability over your claims and would like to defend themselves, which may include lodging a counter-police report. To be eligible for claims over damaged, scratched or dented items while a Renovation and Movers & Relocators service is taking place, you must accept the service provider’s recommendations for sufficient property protective measures (e.g. bubble wrapping, packing boxes). Consult has the sole and absolute discretion to reject your claims of damages to property, theft or accidents to third parties against the service provider or Consult, should Consult find those claims to not be a result of the service that was rendered by the service provider from Consult. Provision of Consult Protection is discretionary and does not in any way create any liability towards the performance of services rendered by the service provider or Consult. By accepting the claims payment via Consult Protection, you agree to waive any further claims against Consult. What services are covered under Consult Protection cover? All services except Renovation and Movers & Relocators services: Up to RM 50,000 for accident to third parties Up to RM 3,000 for damage to property Up to RM 3,000 for theft Renovation and Movers & Relocators services: Up to RM 50,000 for accident to third parties Up to RM 30,000 for damaged, scratched or dented item Up to RM 30,000 for theft How do I make a Consult Protection claim? For claims of theft or accidents to third parties, make a police report within 24 hours from the time you discovered the theft or accident. Please email (within a week from the time you discovered the damage, theft or accident) the necessary documents below to us at support@Consult.com for us to assist you with your claim: Police report made within 24 hours (if applicable) Description of incident Invoice of the affected item (and service if available) Photo of the affected item Photo of the zoomed-in damage of the affected item (if applicable) Copy of your identification (e.g. identity card, drivers license, passport, etc.) Bank account details (bank name, account holder name, account number) Other documents you deem as relevant (e.g. conversation transcript with the service provider, medical report, etc.) |
